Objectives

1. Examine the regulatory implications of controlled鈥憇ubstance rescheduling, substance use in nursing, and the latest medication鈥慳ssisted treatments as they relate to licensure, monitoring, and public protection.

2. Implement investigative strategies and evidence鈥慻athering techniques for specific violations and scenarios including APRN practice issues, IV hydration/med鈥憇pa operations, and confidentiality & disclosure considerations.

3. Analyze professionalism, confidentiality, and licensee speech-related concerns presented by social media applications as well as other emerging and embedded technologies.

4. Assess the operational, legal, and due鈥憄rocess impacts of adopting automated complaint鈥慼andling technologies within nursing regulatory frameworks.

5. Demonstrate effective preparation and collaboration methods for testifying in administrative and regulatory proceedings through deliberate pre鈥慼earing planning, coordinated collaboration, and the use of effective communication techniques.
